Who can forget this 1997 romantic classic? It is a movie that many still watch to this day and it was a massive hit for both Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. The song works so perfectly well in the movie and the flute at the beginning is so recognisable it starts to make everyone teary, because you know how this ends.

 

It Must Have Been Love by Roxette, from Pretty Woman

Another classic 1990’s romantic film that has certainly been able to stand the test of time, it’s got a stellar cast and stellar soundtrack. The audience was taken on a rollercoaster ride and the scene where Julia Roberts’ character leaves Richard Gere’s character, with It Must Have Been Love playing in the background is truly heartbreaking.

 

Take My Breath Away by Berlin, from Top Gun

While Top Gun really doesn’t fall under the romantic film’s genre, it still has a few romantic undertones throughout. The song Take My Breath Away was actually written specifically for this movie and the moment is so iconic that people remember it to this day, even though the movie was released in the 1980’s.

 

Shallow by Lady Gaga, from A Star Is Born

A Star Is Born is as 2018 musical film and a remake of the 1976 version, starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.
