Shannon Noll’s Best Songs And Covers

Shannon Noll, known to his loyal fans as “Nollsy” has a massive cult-following within Australia’s pub scene. Noll rose to fame in 2003 when he finished runner-up on the first-ever season of Australian Idol. To this day, he remains the only Australian artist to have 10 consecutive top 10 songs feature on Aussie charts!

Shine

“Shine” was the lead single of Shannon Noll’s second album, “Lift”, released in September 2005. It debuted in the top spot in Australia, despite being one of Noll’s least country-tinged songs. The song was played when the Socceroos defeated Uruguay to qualify for the FIFA World Cup in 2006.

What About Me?

Nollsy released his cover of the hit song “What About Me?” by Moving Pictures in early 2004. It received positive reviews from critics and is viewed as his signature song by many of his fans. The song was a number one hit in Australia, a top 10 hit in New Zealand and even peaked at number two in Ireland.

C’mon Aussie C’mon

In 2004, Channel Nine asked Noll to record a cover of this famous Aussie ballad with updated lyrics. The result was an instant hit that peaked at number two in Australia and was certified platinum!
